Traditional GP Network provider

Momentum Health GP in George, Traditional GP Network Practice

NeoHealth (Drs Chellan & Lakay Inc, practice number 1221566) is a network GP for Momentum Health Solutions at our George Central practice, covering Momentum Medical Scheme on the Momentum Traditional GP Network.

Momentum operates several distinct GP networks, Traditional GP, Primary Care, and Ingwe Primary Care and Active, each with its own provider list and its own rules. Which one you are on decides how your visit is funded, so it is worth knowing before you book rather than after.

How billing works at NeoHealth

  1. Tell reception whether you are on Momentum Medical Scheme, Imperial Motus Med, or BPMAS, the rules differ by scheme.
  2. Bring your membership card and your ID to every visit so we can verify the network your option uses.
  3. Quote NeoHealth (Drs Chellan & Lakay Inc), practice number 1221566, when nominating or confirming benefits.
  4. Acute medication dispensed in-rooms where your option allows; chronic medication is collected from a pharmacy of your choice.

Momentum questions, answered

Is NeoHealth a Momentum network GP?

Yes, on the Momentum Traditional GP Network. If your card says Momentum Medical Scheme and your option uses the Traditional GP Network, we can usually claim as a network GP. Quote practice number 1221566 when confirming.

I am on Imperial Motus Med. Can I come to you?

Yes. Imperial Motus Med is a restricted scheme for Imperial and Motus employees, administered by Momentum Health Solutions. We are contracted as a Momentum Traditional GP Network provider for its Traditional GP Network benefits on the Health and Budget Plans, subject to plan rules.

How do I know which Momentum network I am on?

Your Momentum app or your membership certificate will say. Momentum runs Traditional GP, Primary Care, and Ingwe Primary Care and Active as separate networks with separate provider lists. If you are unsure, phone reception before booking and we will check with you.

Will I have a co-payment?

It depends on your option, not on us. Co-payments and savings usage are set by your Momentum plan. We confirm what you will pay before the consultation so there is no surprise afterwards.

I chose Associated providers on Provider Choice. What does that mean for me?

On Custom, Incentive and Extender, choosing Associated providers lowers your contribution, but it also means your chronic prescriptions need to come from an Associated GP. A chronic prescription consultation at a GP who is not Associated is paid at 50% of the Momentum Medical Scheme Rate, so you carry the balance. Check with reception whether we are Associated for your specific option before a chronic script visit.

I am on Ingwe. How many GP visits do I get?

Ingwe day-to-day services come from the Ingwe Primary Care Network or Ingwe Active Network, with unlimited GP visits, though pre-authorisation is needed from the eleventh visit. Momentum can confirm your network on 0860 11 78 59, which is both the call and WhatsApp number.

Do you bill Momentum directly?

Yes. We claim from the scheme at reception, so in most cases you are not paying up front and claiming back.

Other schemes on the Momentum GP network

These schemes fund GP visits through a Momentum provider network. Momentum runs more than one network with separate provider lists, so confirm the network your specific option uses.
